Navigator of the Seas Revitalization January 2019

Navigator of the Seas is a destination cruise ship owned by Royal Caribbean International. The ship was built in 2002 by Kværner Masa-Yards Turku New Shipyard, Finland. In January of 2019 she entered drydock in Freeport, Bahamas and has undertaken an extensive refurbishment.

The Waveguide Communications Dry Dock team had their hands full to accomplish a large scope in a minimal amount of time. This included installation, testing and termination of more than 1,000 new CAT6 cables for various projects as part of the scope of work. The team also deployed more than 2,900 coax modems to passenger and crew staterooms onboard for in-stateroom television (MYTV). In addition they also installed the new infrastructure for the ships phone (PBX) system and also installed 999 brand new wireless access points throughout the ship.

Great job Team Waveguide!
